The world of Amateur Radio and Television (ATV), is like a vibrant evergreen tree.  It offers a plethora of interesting and immersive range of projects and ideas.  From experimenting, building, developing and designing STEM projects like Receivers, Transmitters, Antennas and computer based SDR Transceivers, Electronics and Engineering, to restoring Vintage Radio equipment, through to watching live video from the International Space Station.

People of all ages can, and do, get involved in this fascinating lifelong hobby and for many, even branching out into careers in the technology world.

Amateur Television (ATV), offers the ability for people to experiment further through both sound and vision technologies. ATV embraces all aspects of video, through production, editing, transmission and reception and has always been at the fore front of the technology revolution.

SCART ATV Group – South Coast Amateur Radio & Television, provide the means to allow hobbyists and professionals, to further the interests within the Portsmouth and Hampshire area, through a Digital Amateur Radio Repeater (DATV), GB3FW, located on Fort Widley (high up on Portsdown Hill).
